We’re thrilled to have you here! Navigating through our website is designed to be a seamless and enjoyable experience, but don’t worry if it seems a bit overwhelming, we’re here to guide you every step of the way.

Welcome to your personalized “My Account” page! This is your central hub for managing your profile, preferences, orders, and more.
Below is a screenshot of a demo page, with the guide to help you navigate and make the most out of your account:
Dashboard – A simple navigation to access your recent orders, manage your address details and update your account settings.
My Orders – A record of all your accounts orders (and of course that includes all the orders from the ‘old’ site too!) so you can jump back into your courses and view your previously purchased patterns.
My Address(es) – You can view and update your billing and shipping address here.
Payment Methods – You can view and update your payment information here.
Account Details – You can view and update your account information here, like your name, display name (for the Forum), your email address and where you can change your password.
Store Credit – If you have received any store credit, all the information and balance will be displayed here.
Logout – You can logout of your account by pressing this button.
Just underneath your Account information, you will find a very handy section for all your Pattern and Course purchases you have made over the last 6 years (wow!) and of course, any new purchases you make with us in the future!

You can use the handy search tool too if you have LOTS of courses and patterns in your Account and you’re looking to carry on where you left off and it’s not on the first page.
Once you have clicked the Course/Pattern you want to interact with, click through from your Account Page (or through a link in a confirmation email you receive when you’ve purchased a course on this ‘new’ site).
You will be greeted to the ‘Course Information’ screen (don’t worry this includes Patterns too), where you will can see the information related to the Course/Pattern, and the ‘Content’ section, which breaks down the individual steps and files for your Course/Pattern.
You will then click on the first step of the Course/Pattern (it’s always good to start at the beginning) which will lead you to the ‘Lesson Page’ (again this is for Patterns too) and you can navigate all the information from this Lesson.
Follow all the steps and tick off when you have completed it, and then you can move on to the next ‘Lesson’ (how exciting!)
And don’t worry – You can always access ANY Course or Pattern that you have bought with us, even if it disappears off the store, it will always remain in your account to access in the ‘My Courses & Patterns’ section of your Account.
You might have seen this in the website’s menu and thought; ‘What’s that… There’s a Black Raven Academy Forum?”.
That’s right! We have such a thriving and passionate community, full of wonderful talent artists, but the problem is you wonderful people are spread out all over the internet, or haven’t got Facebook to join our community section there. So with this new website, we wanted to add ‘The Black Raven Academy Forum’, a creative space for artists to share advice and techniques with likeminded people all across the globe.
The great thing about the Forum is you are already a member (if you have signed up that is).
That’s right, the Account that you have logged in with is your Forum login details, so once you are signed in you can click the ‘Forum’ page in the menu, and navigate the pre-populated boards that our team has worked hard to create so all your conversations are kept in appropriate topic locations.
The current boards are as follows:
Latest News & Forum Rules – This is where we will post any updates to our business, courses, patterns or general sales or offers (so keep an eye out!). And of course, our community guidelines (which we ask you to read by clicking here), and PLEASE stick too – our Moderators will be responsible for keep the space maintained to a reasonable standard.
Q&A – You can ask Alex/Black Raven Academy a question directly, or one of our Moderators! Any advice or question that might get lost in the general forums/discussions should be posted here.
General Discussions – This could be discussions on LARP/Ren Fairs, business discussions or maybe a new project you want advice on? Anything that doesn’t fit our current boards and topics will stand out here!
Beginners Advice – This is a fantastic space for people who are just starting out and would like to get some Community advice on tools, materials or techniques. We have created set areas so for anyone who has got a question, make sure it fits within one of the current areas, and who knows, have a search as someone might have asked the same question before!
But wait… THERE’S MORE! For every purchase of our Courses, Patterns (or both), you will gain access to the following private Boards…
We create a lot of video content, for our Courses mainly but we utilise these clips on our social media platforms as handy bite sized information to benefit our talented Community.
So we have updated the Blog area to include just that! Our wonderful Videos and Reels in one handy and easy to navigate space.
The Blog consists of 2 tabs:
Video Blogs – A collection of our Facebook videos, with some handy or additional information when you click through, but hey who’s got time to click? Just watch the video straight away in the feed.
Facebook Reels – We get tens of thousands, if not HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS, of views on our Facebook Reels, but we know most people aren’t signed up to Facebook, so why should you miss out too! Our Facebook Reels are also added here for you to view.
We are so proud of all of what our Students produce, whether it’s based off some of our patterns, or based off their own skills and ingenuity!
So we have created this gallery page to collate all your wonderful work in one place! If you want to appear on our ‘Hall of Fame’ then please submit your details on the Gallery page.
So how does it work? It’s quite simple really…
Once a Student/Customer has filled out our handy form on the page, by simply adding their name, email and uploaded an image of their work, we will then review and approve any image that meets our guidelines.
And that’s it, and your beautiful work will then appear on our dynamic Gallery page!
Please Note: These are sample images taken from Black Raven Armoury, and all Student submitted images are placed in a random order so everyone gets a chance to appear at the top. All submissions are reviewed before they are added to the gallery. We reserve the right to not feature any images that we deem inappropriate.
We have kept this step as simple and easy to navigate, as no-one wants a complicated online shopping experience.
